About Us

WHO WE ARE:
A private company who's primary mission is to stimulate tourism and economic development in rural communities.

MISSION STATEMENT
The group is dedicated to forming partnerships with other tourism agencies, and to assist with the planning of future tourism opportunities within the region. To promote recreational facilities while recognizing the needs of agriculture, industry and business. By supporting the provision of healthful surroundings for family life, through the efficient and economical use of private funds. By coordinating economic development activities with other agencies and towns by presenting recommendations of ways to promote new job opportunities, job retention, industrial and commercial investment and diversification. By promoting responsible and efficient land use. By expanding the local citizens' understanding of and their participation in the management of their community. And by improving local property values, while increasing the quality of life and civic pride.

To accomplish this mission----these are the things we do:

  • Aggressively market communities to prospective visitors and tourism groups.
  • Work with private entities to provide advertising opportunities, including the internet, print media, trade shows and other forms of mass media coverage.
  • Develop conceptual plans and ensure the kind of business developments meet the local communities guidelines.
  • Act as a Facilitator by working with businesses to make sure that they have access to the full range of local political leadership and governmental resources required to bring projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Do the planning framework for economic business development, including zoning and building analysis, and development opportunity studies that are site specific.
  • Coordinate the process involving the business owners and the community leadership to ensure that the proposed project has the support of the community. Help in creating or saving historic districts, the rehabilitation of major historic structures and the restoration of historic store fronts.
  • Participate as a Joint Venture Partner with for-profit developers by accessing local resources and land owners which would otherwise not be available to the private sector.
